"I am so thankful for the services Heather provided me and Mike during the birth of our baby girl Jessica. I wanted the support of a doula to help me with my fear and anxiety about the delivery because of complications I had had in previous pregnancies. I was afraid of having further complications with this pregnancy and wanted someone by my side who'd been through many births and knew how to support me. With so much experience helping women give birth, Heather was the perfect choice for me. Even at our first prenatal meeting I felt very comfortable with her and like she sympathized with my situation.
The intensity and speed of the delivery was not what we expected (3 hours from beginning to end), so we were really surprised and unprepared. Heather coached me get into positions that I would have never tried based on what I learned in prenatal classes and what I read in books. She was assertive with me when she needed to be (like when I was holding my breath) and encouraged me and Mike when things became very difficult and painful. She communicated very well with the medical staff at the hospital and asked them to check on me when she sensed things were moving much faster than we all expected. She coached Mike as he struggled to help me, telling him what to try and what to say. That way he was able to help me through it too.
We are so grateful for Heather and what she did for us during this very vulnerable and special time in our lives. It was worth every penny. I wish all women could have a doula and strongly recommend Heather."

Heather visited us later that day and has kept in touch since. offering assistance with breastfeeding and continuously expressing her happiness for us.
